Sancho Meiso Chaya

Sancho Meiso Chaya / 山頂瞑想茶屋 (Tokyo, Japan)
Is a dub/experimental/ambient music project by Shin Sasama.
He was born / raised up in Tokyo, his musical career started as a saxophonist in a roots dub/reggae band named "Cultivator"
He was enthusiastic with roots Jamaican reggae/dub records on 60's/70's,
affected and inspired by roots reggae/dub sounds for creating his sounds, still plays these records as a DJ.
In 00's he started his solo electric music project named "Sancho Meiso Chaya" (means "Hilltop Meditation Cafe" in Japanese) with an Akai sampler, synthesizers and effects.
He started his live performance at nightclubs in Tokyo, supported by core cutting-edged music fans in Japan.
Sancho Meiso Chaya released several singles and albums, EPs.
His solo album named "001" was released from his own label "Koma-Tokyo", second album "002" was released on 2018.
Simultaneously he runs another projects, "Lo Hype" with Katuya Sano (Berlin, JP), producing minimal house tracks, released several tracks from Ibadan Records in Berlin.
